The countdown has begun. 17 days away until the BIG move. 17 days until my life is going to be completely changed, forever. 17 days left in the U.S. where I can call any of my friends in virtually the same time zone, where internet is available anywhere and where I know the language, food, culture, and people. 17 days before I am out of my comfort zone, COMPLETELY! Before my eyes will be opened to what Christ was referring to when He mentioned the least of these. I will be dwelling amidst some of the poorest people in the world. Though I will be in a place surrounded by extreme poverty, I trust this experience will make me extremely wealthy (and I’m not referring to monetary wealth). My team and I will be loving on those the rest of the world has forgotten about. I am not frightened. The Lord has given me a tremendous peace concerning the trip. It’s the preparation process that is a bit overwhelming; so much to do still in such a short time. Only 17 days left, though I must take it one day at a time. I must allow the Lord to speak to me and use me right where I am. I must continue to move forward and not let the pace in which everything is happening get the best of me. “Baby steps Amarja…you’re almost there.”
Please continue to pray for safety, energy, health, traveling mercies, grace and favor for my team and I as we are preparing to fly out in just 17 more days! Please also pray that the Lord will begin to soften the hearts of those we will be encountering during our stay.
Support update: I am currently 77% supported thanks to the generosity and faithfulness of phenomenal individuals and ministries. However, I still need to raise $8,151. If 7 more people could commit to supporting me only $50/month or more by October 30th, I would be FULLY supported for the duration of my two year stay in Cambodia and could completely focus on my ministry.
I believe that if the body of Christ were to rise up and work together, we could outshine the darkness and set the captives free!
17 days…. Woo-hoo!

Amarja, wow i am so grateful to see the peace God has given you throughout this process. It was great to see you a few days ago, and see how God has been working through you. Please know that I will be praying for you and this amazing journey God will be taking you on. I cannot even imagine what is going through your mind right now!! Your message on facebook was great and reading your blog has been encouraging. I do not think I can give $50/ month because I am not working right now, but maybe I can do a smaller amount. Let me know if there is something I can do because I am so encouraged to see people taking what we’ve learned from school and really just being obedient to the call. I know God is going to do incredible things for you and he will lead you in ways that you never expected were possible. He truly can do far beyond all you can ask or imagine (Eph. 3:20). Also, let me know if there are specific things I can pray for you for!
