I am super pumped! I am ecstatic about what the Lord is doing and what He is going to do in my team and through my team! Despite all the discouragements and anxiousness due to wanting to leave already but the money just not being there, I am seeing clearly that there is a reason why this process of support raising has gone so slowly…God is preparing us! Whenever I catch a glimpse of what we will be doing, whenever the Lord places a vision within my heart as He has today, I can’t help but want to tell the world. Today I have found a renewed boldness in the Lord. A renewed confidence that I am exactly where the Lord wants me and I AM GOING TO CAMBODIA!!! For so long I have questioned whether or not this is truly what the Lord has for me. I have been intimidated by failure and as a result I have been timid about support raising. There is however, such a great need in the country of Cambodia of the life giving Spirit of God that timidity has no place. 2 Timothy 1:7 comes to mind as I write, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” I believe I am beginning to grasp this passage of scripture. WHOA! Timidity is a form of bondage and I have been a victim. Not any longer! That being said, today I was researching child prostitution in LA since my current location is Redlands, CA and came across an organization called Children of the Night. This organization is committed to rescuing young girls from prostitution and actively prosecuting the pimps involved. I felt compelled to write to the president and founder of the organization about volunteer opportunities so that perhaps I may be able to volunteer a few times before I leave for Cambodia so I can get a glimpse of what these girls endure, even in the states. This is also a wake up call to those of you who have heard of the problem of child exploitation through the sex trade. THERE ARE WAYS YOU CAN HELP LOCALLY! Children of the Night is just one avenue. As the body of Christ, we MUST rise to action! Matthew 19:26 so beautifully reminds us that what we may think is impossible IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD! My Mom prophetically wrote a song that rings these words to be true, “In Jesus name, all things are possible, in Jesus name, nothing’s impossible! In Jesus name, there is a way, all things are possible in Jesus name!” Get involved. Do some research and take action. I am going to Cambodia not by my own might or willpower, but because the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord has anointed me with boldness to do so! You can be a part of something bigger by Donating today.
